Don Hughes of Columbus, GA, won Caterpillar’s Meet Me In Vegas sweepstakes, which is part of the celebration surrounding the unveiling of the first model (CT660) in the full line of Cat Vocational Trucks.
Don Hughes of Columbus, GA, was selected in a random drawing held Feb. 24 as the grand prize winner of the company’s Meet Me In Vegas online sweepstakes featuring a trip to Las Vegas. The sweepstakes is part of the celebration surrounding the unveiling of the first model in the full line of Cat Vocational Trucks, the Cat CT660, in Las Vegas at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in March.
As the winner, Hughes receives: two VIP access passes to attend the invitation-only unveiling press event hosted by Caterpillar on Sunday, March 20; roundtrip airfare for two to Las Vegas to attend the VIP event; accommodations for five nights at Caesars Palace; five days of rental car use; $750; two VIP guest passes for the Caterpillar Hospitality Night at Caesars Ballroom on March 22 and two tickets to attend CONEXPO-CON/AGG.
After being told he had won the trip, Hughes said, “I can’t believe I won. I can’t wait to see the Cat Vocational Truck in person.”
Cat Vocational Truck Product Manager Gary Blood, who is responsible for product strategy, design and introduction of the new trucks, hosts an online blog at MyCatTruck.com leading up to the unveiling event. “This contest had folks talking on the blog, and we received a ton of entries,” Blood said. “Naturally, everyone wanted to win and be one of the first to see the CT660, so we’re thrilled for Don Hughes and his guest. On top of the big prize awards, the Director of the On-Highway Division George Taylor and I will treat them to a lunch at the Customer Café while at the show, and send them home with plenty of Cat logo gear. We’re looking forward to meeting them, and can’t wait to hear what they think of the CT660.”
Entries for the contest could be submitted online through Feb. 22 at www.DriveCat.com, and Hughes’ entry was drawn as the winner from more than 5,000 entries.
