Refinements for the 938G-Series II wheel loader include a new low-emissions diesel engine—the 160-net-hp Cat 3126B—which employs air-to-air aftercooling and uses a new reverse-flow cooling package. An improved electronic powershift transmission features Variable Shift Control, permitting the operator to select from three shift patterns, depending on the application. Cab enhancements include pilot-assisted implement controls and new instrumentation.
