Upgraded Cat 140M2 and 160M2 motor graders, along with their all-wheel-drive (AWD) counterparts, have Tier 4-Interim Cat C9.3 ACERT engines with variable horsepower with a wider net-variable-horsepower range than their M Series predecessors. The 140M2 and 160M2 ranges from 193 to 243 horsepower, and 213 to 263 horsepower, respectively. Control system uses two electronic joysticks to provide complete, precise control of the machine. Series 2 graders also feature electronic vertical adjustment of the joystick control pods, allowing each operator to tailor joystick height for optimum control and comfort.
The 12 models (670G/GP, 672G/GP, 770G/GP, 772G/GP, 870G/GP, 872G/GP) in John Deere’s G Series motor grader line, with net horsepower ranging from 220 to 287, now have John Deere PowerTech Tier 4-Final engines.
The 38,510-pound G946C motor grader is now Tier 4-Final equipped, and features a heavy-duty circle, moldboard and drawbar, with a blade pull at base of 24,957 pounds.
Redesigned with a Cat C18 ACERT Tier 4-Final diesel, Cat D9T dozer has 436 horsepower at 1,800 rpm.
