Cat 336F Hydraulic Excavator

March 3, 2014

The new Cat 336F hydraulic excavator meets Tier 4-Final emissions standards and delivers fuel-saving performance, says Caterpillar, via its electric boom- and stick-regeneration valves and an engine idle shutdown setting that stops the engine after a specified interval of idling. In addition, the operator can reduce engine speed to idle with the touch of a button, and an economy power mode further reduces fuel consumption.

The new model can be equipped with available Cat Connect technology, which, says Caterpillar, is aimed at enhancing job-site efficiency. LINK technologies, such as Product Link, assist fleet owners in managing equipment by tracking vital information (such as, fuel usage, productivity, idle time, and diagnostic codes), which is then shared through Caterpillar’s VisionLink interface. Optional GRADE technologies, such as Cat Grade Control Depth and Slope, are designed to assist operators in working more productively and accurately with less rework. The system can be upgraded to 3D capability with the addition of Cat AccuGrade  GPS or Universal Total Station (UTS) systems.
