Bobcat Brushcat

Sept. 28, 2010
A new line of Brushcat rotary cutters from Bobcat includes five models with varying hydraulic-flow requirements to accommodate loaders with flows ranging from 15 to 37 gpm. According to Bobcat, these new rotary cutters can mulch small ranches and saplings up to 3 inches in diameter and can cut through the thickest grass and brush. The Brushcat is available in widths of 60 and 72 inches and is approved for use with certain models in Bobcat's skid-steer loader and compact track loader lines, as well as with the A300 all-wheel-steer laoder and the company's 5600 utility work machine. The rotary cutters feature a velocity fuse that shuts off flow to the tool if its motor capacity is exceeded, and a pressure gauge on the tool indicates (via a green/yellow/red color-coded face) the hydraulic operating status.
