"Level Best" Performance

The idea is both simple and brilliant—equipping a trench roller with a leveling blade. The patented blade on the Rammax P33-HHMR-BD trench roller allows the contractor to efficiently level material in front of the machine for more effective compaction, says manufacturer Multiquip, and the blade can be used with an infrared remote control. The machine is available with either 33- or 24-inch-wide drums and features dual compaction settings (18,500 and 12,150 pounds), which can be changed on-the-fly. Estimated list price: $47,700.
