As part of its $129.7 billion fiscal year 2014 budget proposal, the U.S. Army requested $2.3 billion for military construction, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

As part of its $129.7 billion fiscal year 2014 budget proposal, the U.S. Army requested $2.3 billion for military construction, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

The total, which is about $1.2 billion less than 2013, would also cover Army family housing and base realignment and closure.
